AfterZoom

In Fall 2020, I worked with a coworker to design small, hands on STEM classes for high schoolers during COVID. We came up with the program structure, determined our budget and pricing, and created curriculum for two classes, one focusing on fabrication and one on mechatronics. We taught the classes to six students at a time for a month, with me teaching the mechatronics class. I taught the students how to use Arduino and a variety of sensors, and then they worked together to make Rube Goldberg machines with Arduino sensors integrated in just a week.

Penn Electric Racing Operations

On Penn Electric Racing, besides working on the mechanical team, I also work on the operations team, which is in charge of all the nontechnical aspects of the team. I work on finding and communicating with sponsors, monitoring our budget, purchasing parts for the team, organizing competition logistics, and competing in the cost and sales events.

Mockpit

I worked in a team of five to create a mock cockpit for determining ideal driver interface locations for our Formula Electric Car. I designed the pedal box, which had a pegboard design to easily adjust the pedals to optimal positions, as well as height and angle adjustment.

FRC

I did FIRST Robotics Competition for four years in high school. I was the president and drive coach of my team and also worked on the mechanical team each year. I also mentored multiple elementary and middle school robotics teams. In my senior year of high school, we qualified for the world championships and won the Engineering Inspiration award for our work promoting STEM in our community.
